Volunteer - Special Events

Volunteers are needed to help with the planning and staging of several special events throughout the year. Please note that the requirements for volunteering at a special event are different than those in place for House volunteers.

Denim to Diamonds
Dubbed "the best party in Silicon Valley," the gala is held each March and features fine dining, live and silent auctions, and casino-style gaming for 600 guests.

Volunteers are needed to serve on the planning committee and to assist with the day of event (from serving hors d'oeuvres to tearing down decorations).

Time Commitment (approximate):
Planning Committee Chairperson — requires availability over a five-month period
Day of Event Volunteer — shifts are 5-12 hours in length

All volunteers must be at least 21 years of age. All volunteers are required to attend a 1.5 hour Orientation Session.

Volunteer registration for Denim to Diamonds is done online, beginning in January. Please check back for a link to sign up.

Randy Cross Invitational Golf Tournament
Held the first Monday each June, the tournament features golf at Stanford Golf Course and Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club, followed by a cocktail awards reception at Rosewood Sand Hill.

Volunteers are needed to staff the golf courses and reception, or work on one of the planning committees.

Time Commitment (approximate):
Tournament Volunteer — 5 hours (Day)
Reception Volunteer — 5 hours (Evening)
Planning Committee Chairperson — requires availability over a five-month period
